Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is one of the standout Android flagships of 2026, combining a large high-resolution display, advanced cameras and a new privacy-focused screen feature.
Display and design
The S26 Ultra features a 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and S Pen support. Samsung's built-in Privacy Display can reduce side-angle visibility of sensitive content, making it especially useful on public transport or in busy spaces.
Cameras
The rear system includes a 200MP wide camera, 50MP ultra-wide and telephoto options, giving users flexibility for detailed shots and different zoom ranges. As always, lighting, image processing and shooting technique also matter more than megapixels alone.
Performance and battery
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy powers the handset, while the typical 5,000mAh battery supports everyday use. Storage and memory configurations vary by market.
Galaxy AI and buying advice
Samsung's AI tools include photo-editing assistance and context-aware features. For shoppers in Ireland, check the exact regional configuration, software-feature availability, and warranty before purchasing.
Our verdict
The S26 Ultra is a strong option for people who want a large display, powerful cameras and S Pen productivity features. Budget-conscious buyers should also compare recent-generation and pre-owned Galaxy models.
